The book
The five people you meet in heaven, Mitch Albom
Short talk
From the author of the number one New York Times bestseller Tuesdays with Morrie comes the long -awaited follow-up, an enchanting, beautifully crafted novel that explores a mystery only heaven can unfold. "All endings are also beginning. We just don't know at the time..."
More talk
Eddie has worked as a maintenance worker in Ruby Pier, an amusement park, his entire life. Ever since he was a teenager, his began helping his old man out in the pier. In fact his whole life pretty much revolve around the park until he even smelled like the ocean. On his 83rd birthday, something went terribly wrong and an accident killed Eddie instantly. He went to heaven and met five different people who either affected his life significantly or because of his actions/ inactions, affected their life tremendously. Only until he met all five of them, he realized that all endings are also beginnings...we just don't know at that time.
My talk
Albom successfully pictured heaven in a way most of us haven't even thought of. A very sad, detailed story of a man who live by everyday's routine and in the end, knowing that how his life affected the other and how others affected his life during his days.
My rating
8/10
