Pepper Lunch @ Pavilion KL

I've heard of this place a few times before. Read all about it in some food blogs that I came across before. In fact, I've walked to its entrance once some time ago before deciding to dine at subway instead.

Just a few days ago, I found myself with two of my friends placing orders at the counter. One thing's for sure, the place is really really cool. Everyone was busy sizzling their meal with/without skills and doesn't really give two hoots about all the passers-by looking through the glass wall with amazement. The ssss ssss sound of the sizzling is everywhere! Nice (:

#1 Salmon Pepper Rice

The catch is that once your order arrive, you have to practically 'cook' it yourself. Brown pepper sauce, soy sauce, pepper and salt were all provided and you can just mix and match according to your taste. On the wall, there's a big ass screen showing a video tutorial on how to sizzle your dish correctly and some other instructions were also printed on the piece of paper on the side of the hot plate. Not to worry if you don't really know how to sizzle it yourself, the friendly waiters/waitresses are always happy to help you with the whole sizzling process. They'll talk you through it.

#2 Curry Beef Pepper Rice

Anyway, we came up with a damn good plan to diverse the flavour of our rice. During the whole sizzling process takes place, the seasoning were kept untouched at the side -as opposed to the video tutorial. Then then cooked dish is divided into several smaller parts. Each part is then mixed with a different composition of the seasoning and then..,violaa diversity in taste! LOL

#3 Teriyaki Chicken Special

It was an awesome experience. Reminds me of the old stone grill lamb steak they had in Genting some time ago. It was equally good -the fact that you get to grill your own lamb on a red hot stone! Go try it! (:
